SCOTTSDALE, AZ – Powered by Dan Bichette’s (NYY) 3-for-5, two-RBI performance on Thursday, the Scottsdale Scorpions (12-20) came full circle to close out the 2014 campaign in identical fashion to their 2014 AFL opener – with a victory over the Salt River Rafters (17-11).
SCOTTSDALE, AZ – With just two games remaining in the AFL season, the Scottsdale Scorpions (11-20) again stumbled and further extended their tough skid with Wednesday’s 8-0 shutout to the Surprise Saguaros (16-14) at Scottsdale Stadium. SALT RIVER, AZ – Top prospect Tyler Glasnow (PIT) made the Opening Day start, 2014 Tribe backstop Elias Diaz (PIT) scored a pair of runs and Greg Bird (NYY) drove in four to lead the Scottsdale Scorpions (1-0) to a 7-4 win over the Salt River Rafters (0-1) in the Arizona Fall League opener on Wednesday afternoon at Salt River Fields.
