Hey Cougs! It’s been a while since beach volleyball ended and 6 weeks ago, the girls got to start playing indoor intramural volleyball. It’s very exciting for all the girls.

The season lasted 5 long weeks. Unfortunately for the girls, their games were late at night starting at 10 and 10:30 pm. Not everyone wants to come out at that time, so there were times when teams didn’t even have games. It kinda sucks. However, there were some really exciting games. Games involving the apartments are fun. There was even a team that had 4 players on it and they won. It was impressive.

The tournament has now started and the games are getting even more intense. The winner will be declared soon and a free t-shirt is involved.

One of the cool things about intramural sports is that all you have to do is invest your time and skill and a free t-shirt could be coming your way. That’s just awesome. I’m pretty sure that one of the t-shirts a few years ago said, “I’m only in it for the free shirt.” That’s the best way to look at it.

All in all, intramurals are a great way to get involved and its important to be involved on campus. It’s never boring here. Intramurals entertain us and are a good study break (sometimes even a great way to rid yourself of some pent up energy…).
