The Indianapolis Indians opened their six-game home stand with not one – but two – extra inning performances against the Louisville Bats. Unfortunately, both games on Sunday afternoon and Monday night had similar results, with the Tribe losing 5-4 and 7-2, respectively.

After an exciting walk-off victory in game one of the four game series against the Toledo Mud Hens, the Indianapolis Indians have lost two straight games. The All-Star break was good for breaking up the long stretch of games the Indianapolis Indians were set to play against the Columbus Clippers. After a four game streak of losses to close out the six games played in four days at Victory Field, the Tribe headed to Columbus ready to no longer share the top spot in the International League West Division. The four losses allowed the Clippers to share the IL West’s No. 1 spot with the Indians.
On Thursday night, the Indianapolis Indians hosted the Columbus Clippers for the first two games of what will eventually be 10 straight games played against each other. The first six games will occur in Indianapolis – a four day series featuring two doubleheaders (Thursday and Saturday) to make up games missed due to inclement weather, otherwise known as snow, in April.
The Indianapolis Indians returned home from a 10-game road trip for just two games against the Toledo Mud Hens, starting on Monday night. The Indians then head back out of the road for two games against the Louisville Bats before returning for 12-games at home in 10 days – thanks to two doubleheaders against the Columbus Clippers.
Much like Nick Kingham’s performance for the Indianapolis Indians on Tuesday against the Durham Bulls, Tribe starter Casey Sadler took the mound in the series finale and showed them what stellar pitching looks like.
The Indianapolis Indians were unable to transfer their success behind the pitching of Nick Kingham on Tuesday night against the Durham Bulls in the next two games as they lost on Wednesday 6-3 and again on Thursday 8-2.
