Hey Cougs! The men’s basketball team lost a close game to St. Francis a few days ago. The final score was 70-69. It was a big deal game since St. Francis won the conference championship last year. And I bet that after such a close lose they are ready to get back on the court and win. This won’t happen because the boy’s game that is supposed to be on Tuesday has been rescheduled because of a huge storm that is heading our way.
There is a rumor going around that Spring Arbor may even lose power because this storm is going to be so big. I’ve even heard ranges of 13-20 inches. That’s a whole ton of snow.
I love the snow, but that is just too much. I’m also really upset because I was so ready to go to the game on Wednesday. I even psyched myself up for it. Now I have to calm down and then get excited again for Thursday.
Let’s hope that the snow storm isn’t as crazy as we think it is going to be and I hope that everyone is safe over the next few days. I wouldn’t want there to be a tragedy, especially if a team was traveling to play Spring Arbor, because weather conditions were horrible. The postponment of this game is for the safety of all people involved and I’m glad that the MCC (Mid-Central College Conference) is being so cautious.
I encourage all of you Cougs out there to put on a blue or yellow shirt and head out to the men’s game against Taylor University on Thursday night at 7 p.m. and again to the women’s game against Bethel College at 1 p.m. this Saturday.
I hope to see you all there.
Catch ya later, Cougs!
