E.A.C.H.

Salutations Cougars! Are you looking for something crazy? The church I attend at home was in search of something crazy.

Out of Oak Pointe Church‘s need for crazy, E.A.C.H. was born.

E.A.C.H. is otherwise known as Everyone A Chance to Hear. It is a movement of 300+ churches and ministries to bring good deeds andgood news to 3.5 million people in Metro-Detroit during the 40 days that follow Easter 2011. 3.5 million people in 40 days, sounds pretty crazy to me.

Easter Sunday normally consists of a service that celebrates Christ and then everyone leaves the church to do their own thing. E.A.C.H. is about leaving church on Easter Sunday ready to live the resurrection body and spread the Gospel for 40 days like Jesus did after being resurrected.

The goal for the good deeds is to give at least 1 million hours of good deeds to Metro-Detroit. The good news is giving everyone a chance to hear a 2word story. A 2word story is something as simple as this: Accepted? Accepted. Loved? Loved. Satisfied? Satisfied. It equips everyone with the ability to share their testimony in 3 minutes, not 20.

There is also going to be a celebration at the end of the 40 days at Ford Field (yeah, that large stadium where the Detroit Lions play). There is a record plaque in the office at Ford Field with the most number of people that have been there for an event. The stadium has seats for 70,000 people, but with standing room the capacities are even larger. The event that is on the plaque is Wrestlemania with just over 80,000 people in attendance. Bob Shirock, senior pastor at Oak Pointe and one of the creators of E.A.C.H., wants to replace that plaque because if a bunch of people who are going to watch fake wrestling can join together, then so can the body of Christ. E.A.C.H. wants Detroit to know that the body of Christ exists there and that Detroit hasn’t been forgotten about.

God is doing something and you don’t want to miss this. This is something that should not be taken lightly and no one should sit on the sidelines for this.

If you’re interested check out the E.A.C.H. link or comment here and I’ll keep you posted on how E.A.C.H. is doing. Let’s go out and do something crazy for Christ!

Catch ya later Cougs!
