Hi Cougars! I was given the chance to go to two Michigan State basketball games recently. While there I was taking mental notes about how to improve SAU’s student section. Wanna know why? Because MSU has a huge student section called the Izzone.

I love our student section. It’s great to see so many people out there to support all of the Spring Arbor athletes. I just think that we could make it even BIGGER!

The Izzone is huge; it takes up almost all of the entire lower bowl at the Breslin Center. The cool thing is they all wear white too. So it’s like this white cloud of people. For SAU, I think that everyone, yes even the person that only comes to one game every once in awhile, should wear yellow or blue to a game. Our student section can bring us all so much closer.

I think it would be super cool to have a sea of blue (or yellow) shirts at every basketball game. We need to be COUGAR CRAZY!!! So, go to a game, buy a Cougar Crazies t-shirt from the intramural staff for $5, put it on and cheer on your favorite Cougar athlete. I would also suggest participating in the half time activities. They are so fun. It’s part of the college experience, right?

So Cougs, I hope to you see out at a game – wearing blue or yellow – and cheering on those Cougars of ours.
