I love my CORE

Howdy Cougars! Every freshman and transfer student is part of a CORE group. They are the group of students that you become close to over the course of your first year at Spring Arbor.

I am no longer a freshman, but I still stay in touch with people from my CORE group.

Well my CORE group (I was a part of CORE #1) got together recently for a game night. While I was there, we ate snacks and chatted. We didn’t even play a game! However, by the time I was ready to leave, they were getting ready to start a game. I had to ditch out early because of all of the homework I had to do.

It’s always fun to get together with your CORE, especially if you haven’t seen them in a long time. My PA (Peer Advisor) was one of the greatest mentors of all time. We’ve even gotten together and had lunch. If you’re a freshman, your PA is someone who will always be there for you no matter what. The same rings true when you’re a sophomore and beyond. If your PA isn’t on campus, I bet they’d love a text from you or even a Facebook message.

For those of you who haven’t arrived on campus yet, get ready to have an awesome PA and a great group of people that surround you. And the rest of you Cougars, get in touch with your PA. I know they want to hear from you.

Catch ya later, Cougs!
