“Harry Potter” movie premieres

This book has sold over 44 million copies nationwide, made $61.2 million on it’s first day in theaters on November 19 and in it’s opening weekend produced $125.1 million.

“Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” is now a movie.

Due to the length of the book, it has been produced into two movies. Part one was just released and part two will be premiering in July.

Kaylee McDougall said, “My mind was blown by Harry Potter seven. I want part two now.”

“Deathly Hallows” joins the other six Harry Potter novels that have been recreated as motion pictures.

“Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” premiered in 2001. “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets” in 2002. “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban” in 2004. “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire” in 2005. “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix” in 2007 and “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” in 2009.

Throughout the years, people have been following Harry Potter and his adventures to defeat Voldermort, survive school at Hogwarts and build his friendships with Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley and doing all of this while trying to avoid Draco Malfoy as much as possible.

The midnight premiere of Harry Potter contained some Spring Arbor University students.

Zach Enloe said, “The new Harry Potter was pretty sweet.”

Sarah Mobbs said, “I was about to pee my pants while watching Harry Potter. That’s how excited I was.”

Marissa Carroll was counting down to the premiere with her statuses on Facebook.

Tweets about Harry Potter are still continuing as people see the movie, tweet their thoughts and end it with #hp7.

Since J.K. Rowling will no longer be creating Harry Potter novels, this movies and books are all that some college students have to hold onto of their childhood or adolescence.

Mobbs said, “It’s sad that it is almost over. I almost wish for more.”
