Goodbye Spring Arbor, Hello Myrtle Beach.

Howdy Cougs! For some students Spring Break means going out to parties and doing something that goes against Spring Arbor rules. That’s not for me though! Students around here either head home for some much-needed relaxation and others headed to places all over the world for a SAU Spring Break mission trip.

I did neither of those two. Three of my good friends and I packed up a car and drove down to Myrtle Beach, SC. The trip was long, but it was an adventure. There was never a dull moment.

We often woke up to the sound of the waves (we had an oceanfront room!!) and some days we were up to see the sunrise. We took late night walks on the beach and collected tons of conch shells. We loved being able to sit in the hot tub when the chilly wind came and we were out on the beach when the sun was shining brightly.

All in all, it was sad to leave Myrtle Beach with flip-flops on knowing that we would be returning to a cold Michigan. An adventure with your college friends will be some of the best memories of your life. So when your first college Spring Break comes around, take an advantage of a mission trip, go home and rest or go on an adventure with your friends.

Catch ya later, Cougs!
