Dre Massey accounts for 11 TDs in wild win

With a final score that you would more likely find in a basketball game instead of a football game, Mauldin (South Carolina) High School defeated Spartanburg (South Carolina) Boiling Springs High School 83-70 on the back of Dre Massey.

According to “Greenville Online,” there were only six defensive stops between the two teams. Every other drive ended with a score.

The passing stat-line for Massey read: 213 yards, four touchdowns and 19 completions of 21 attempts.

He also carried the ball 29 times, running for 354 yards and seven touchdowns.

In total offense, Massey had 567 yards and accounted for 11 touchdowns.

Massey’s performance while impressive, if broken into the separate categories of passing and rushing, won’t be enough to place him in the NFHS Record Book.

“He took our team on his shoulders tonight,” Mauldin coach Lee Taylor said to reporter Michael Burns. “I just know that he’s a phenom. I’m just glad he suits up with the orange and white every Friday night.”
