Club Basketball

Hey Cougars! Spring Arbor has new athletic club on campus.

Last week, Club Basketball began. Sophomore Garrick Fuller created, petitioned and fought to make this a legit club on campus. It was created to allow people who LOVE basketball, but don’t play for the basketball teams, to have an opportunity to play more organized basketball games than just intramurals.

There are about 10 teams that play each week. It looks like there will also be games in the spring semester after intramural basketball is over.

Sometimes organized games are better than the pick up games that are played outside on the courts between Gainey and Lowell, besides, those games can only last until 11 p.m. It gives people a chance to be competitive and play a sport that everyone involved loves.

So Garrick, congratulations on making a new club, and if your interested in playing club basketball, look out for the flyers on campus.

You can even come out and watch some games, if you’d rather be a spectator. They play in Dunckel gym after all of the athletic teams are finished with their practices.

Catch ya later, Cougs!
