Kansas player sets free throw record

Each time she stepped to the foul line over a 21-game stretch, Lakin Preisner of Allen (Kansas) Northern Heights High School never missed a free throw. When her streak of 120 consecutive made free throws ended, she had earned a national record.

Preisner’s streak ended when she missed a free throw in Northern Heights’ 52-35 victory over Herington (Kansas) High School. It was the first free throw she’s missed since the fourth game of the 2012-13 season.
