Boys Beat Huntington

Hey Cougs! It’s almost March and that means March Madness (translation: lots and lots of basketball).

Our boys’ basketball team had their first Mid Central Conference tournament game against Huntington last Wednesday. It was a pretty important game and our boys ended up with a capital W. That’s just plan awesome. It was an upset, which makes it even cooler.

Sophomore Matt Howe had a great game. He ended up scoring a total of 14 points and 15 rebounds. That’s pretty stinking impressive, if I do say so myself. Another sophomore, Chris Bellamy, stepped it up on defense and stopped Huntington’s leading scorer from making a huge impact in the second half of the game. Bellamy kept their leading scorer to only 2 points for the entire second half. That is also pretty impressive. Let’s just say the sophomores really impressed me at this game.

It was a close game with Spring Arbor only winning by 2 points, but that’s okay because getting the win is the most important part.

Next up for the boys is Indiana Wesleyan. I hope they can pull out the win.

Catch ya later, Cougs!
