Summer Heats Up as Tigers Host Royals and Red Sox in Six-Game Homestand at Comerica Park

The Tigers host the Kansas City Royals for a three-game series (August 4-6) and will finish up the homestand with a three-game weekend series against the Boston Red Sox (August 7-9). The games on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday are scheduled for 7:08 p.m., while Thursday and Sunday’s games start at 1:08 p.m.

Media Advisory – Willie Horton’s Batting for Kids

Willie Horton Batting for Kids is a baseball challenge that hosts over 400 children ages 5-15 providing the opportunity to compete in a baseball competition that includes base running, hitting and throwing. Additionally, the children will participate in baseball demonstration clinics, calisthenics stations and a speed pitch machine. Participating youth compete in 12 different baseball skill activities. Individual awards are given to the top boy and girl in each age division for hitting, throwing and base running. Participants also have the opportunity to participate in demonstration clinics.
