Hey Cougars! So Christmas is coming up on us quite quickly. It’s just a couple of weeks away. I hope that you’ve gotten all your shopping done and are getting your presents wrapped and ready to go under the tree.
My floor decided to do a Secret Santa. We filled out a sheet with some of our interests and then had to pick a name from the basket later on that day or even the next week. When I got my Secret Santa I didn’t know what to buy. However, after a trip to the store I had found the perfect gift.
I got back to school, grabbed the wrapping paper left over from wrapping the shoe boxes from Operation Christmas Child, some tape and my scissors and began to wrap my Secret Santa gift. If you’ve never tried to wrap a chocolate bar, let me tell you, it is really hard. My mom had taught me how to wrap presents last Christmas, but I don’t wrap gifts often and had to rack my brain to remember exactly how to do it. I went through more wrapping paper than I needed.
On Friday morning, my wonderful Resident Assistant knocked on my door ringing bells outside. I was kind of disorientated and didn’t know what was going on. I went outside into the hall to be greeted by really bright hallway lights (those will definitely wake you up!) and cinnamon rolls and orange juice. I searched the hallway for my gift and found out that I got a s’more kit.
S’mores are a staple for outdoorsy people, I guess I would be considered an outdoorsy person since I’m a Cougar and all. My mama is going to have to make a fire so I can roast some marshmallows over Christmas vacation. I love my Secret Santa gift and that my floor was so excited about spending “Christmas” together, but now it’s time to focus on finals and finishing off the semester strong.
Catch ya later, Cougs!
