In a Saturday afternoon volleyball match against Bethel College the Lady Cougars were still searching for that first conference win.
The ladies improved over the course of the game, scoring more points in each set than they did in the set previous, but were unable to walk away with a set win. They lost in three with the final scores of 25-10, 25-15 and 25-23.
The ladies are still looking for the consistency they need to win their first match in the conference. The Lady Cougars are a young group, who when everyone performs on point have the ability to be victorious.
They are led by senior Ashley Morris who had 7 kills and 11 digs over the course of the match against Bethel. She also had 6 assists, only two less than junior Tenille Marowelli. Junior Alyssa Frees and sophomore Lyndsay Murray contributed defensively with 9 and 7 digs respectively.
The Lady Cougars will head to Huntington, Ind. on Sept. 26 for a pretty even match against the Huntington Foresters, who are 1-10 overall and 1-6 in league play.
