Two softball players from Texas – Tori Vidales of La Porte High School and Jamie Madison of Groesbeck High School – recently hit four home runs in a single game and accomplished the feat three days apart.
Vidales hit four home runs in a game against Port Arthur (Texas) High School on March 25. Her performance increased her total to 11 through the first 13 games, as well as an impressive .897 batting average (26 hits in 29 at-bats).
On March 28, Madison followed with four homers against Fairfield (Texas) High School, including her final home run on an attempted intentional walk.
The current record for home runs in a single game is held by Janet Weisenforth of Green Island (New York) Heatly High School who hit five home runs in a game in 1977.
