RECENT RESULTS: The Tigers dropped their third straight game as they lost to the Brewers 8-1 on Tuesday night at Comerica Park. J.D. Martinez went 1×3 with a RBI, while Miguel Cabrera and Tyler Collins each added a hit in the loss. Anibal Sanchez started for the Tigers and took the loss after allowing seven runs on seven hits with two walks and two strikeouts in 3.2 innings. The Tigers and Brewers conclude their three-game Interleague series tonight. Following tonight’s game, the Tigers continue their seven-game homestand as they host the Astros in a four-game series this weekend.
RONDON TO BEGIN REHAB ASSIGNMENT THURSDAY: The Tigers announced today that righthanded pitcher Bruce Rondon will begin a rehabilitation assignment with Triple A Toledo on Thursday. Rondon has been sidelined since April 1 with bicipital tendinitis.
WILSON EXTENDS SCORELESS STREAK: Alex Wilson worked 1.1 scoreless innings last night, striking out two. Wilson has not allowed a run over his last six appearances, a stretch that spans 10.2 innings. Over his last 10.2 innings, Wilson has given up just four hits with two walks and six strikeouts. In nine appearances this season, Wilson has a 0-0 record with a 1.69 ERA (16.0IP/3ER).
STREAKING: J.D. Martinez enters tonight’s game with a 10-game hitting streak, while Miguel Cabrera has a seven-game hitting streak. Martinez is hitting .400 (14×35) with five runs scored, two doubles, two home runs and three RBI over his last 10 games. Cabrera is batting .393 (11×28) with seven runs scored, a double, a triple, four home runs and nine RBI over during his streak. Rajai Davis ranks tied for sixth in the AL with nine stolen bases, while Anthony Gose is tied for eighth with seven steals and Jose Iglesias and Ian Kinsler are tied for 12th with six stolen bases.
INTERLEAGUE HAPPENINGS: The Tigers are 4-4 in Interleague play this season after going 0-2 vs. Milwaukee, 2-1 vs. Pittsburgh and 2-1 vs. St. Louis. Since Interleague Play began in 1997, the Tigers have compiled a 180-151 record.

The .626 winning percentage during Interleague action is second-best among major league clubs during that stretch. ANIBAL SANCHEZ AND DETROIT TIGERS LAUNCH SANCHEZ’S LITTLE SMILES
The program provides families the opportunity to escape their daily hardships and enjoy an evening together while watching Tigers baseball from the Sanchez Family’s suite at Comerica Park. The participating families are selected in partnership with local charitable organizations focused on serving the needs of families faced with the challenges of caring for children with health concerns and other adversities. Families from Children’s Hospital of Michigan – craniofacial unit will attend tonight’s game vs. the Milwaukee Brewers.
