RECENT RESULTS: The Tigers closed the first half of the season with a 7-1 loss at Minnesota on Sunday afternoon at Target Field. Ian Kinsler had three hits, while Anthony Gose and J.D. Martinez each went 1×3. Shane Greene started for the Tigers and took the loss after giving up seven runs on seven hits with three walks and two strikeouts in 4.2 innings. The Tigers begin the second half of the season tonight as they open a three-game series against the Baltimore Orioles. Following the series vs. Baltimore, the seven-game homestand continues with four games vs. the Seattle Mariners.

TIGERS/RED SOX GAME ON JULY 26 TO BE TELEVISED BY ESPN: The Tigers-Red Sox game on Sunday, July 26 at Fenway Park will be televised by ESPN. First pitch for the game is now scheduled for 8:08 p.m.

RECAPPING THE ALL-STAR GAME: The Tigers were well represented at the 2015 All-Star Game with three players taking part. David Price picked up the win after throwing a scoreless inning with two strikeouts. The win for Price marked the second straight year and the fifth time in club history that a Tigers hurler has been the winning pitcher in the Midsummer Classic. Max Scherzer received the win in the 2014 All-Star Game. Jose Iglesias went 0x2 in the game, while J.D. Martinez was 0x1. Miguel Cabrera was elected by the fans as the starting first baseman, but did not play in the game due to injury.

KINSLER PILING UP THE MULTI-HIT GAMES: Ian Kinsler had three hits in Sunday’s game at Minnesota. Kinsler now has 31 multi-hit games, which ranks tied for third in the American League. Since being moved to the leadoff spot on July 3, Kinsler is hitting .350 (14×40) with four runs scored, three doubles, one triple, one home run and seven RBI.

STREAKING: Anthony Gose enters tonight’s game on a career-long, 10-game hitting streak, while James McCann has hit safely in seven straight games. During his 10-game streak, Gose is beating .361 (13×36) with eight runs scored, two doubles, one triple, one home run and two RBI. McCann is batting .464 (13×28) with five runs scored, one double, one triple, two home runs and seven RBI over his last seven games.

HARDY ON A ROLL: Blaine Hardy worked a scoreless inning with one strikeout on Sunday at Minnesota. Hardy has not allowed a run in each of his last five outings and has given up just two runs in his last 14 outings. Over his last 14 appearances, Hardy has a 1-0 record with three holds, a 1.10 ERA (16.1IP/2ER), nine hits allowed, five walks and 15 strikeouts.

VMAR ON THE MARK VS. JIMENEZ: Victor Martinez has posted impressive career numbers against tonight’s Orioles starter, Ubaldo Jimenez. Martinez is hitting .333 (8×24) with one double, three home runs and nine RBI against Jimenez.

KINSLER ON TARGET VS. BALTIMORE: Ian Kinsler has had success in his career against the Baltimore Orioles. In 64 career games vs. Baltimore, Kinsler has a .328 (87×265) batting average with 51 runs scored, 15 doubles, one triple, 11 home runs and 44 RBI. Kinsler has hit safely in 21 of his last 25 games against Baltimore and has 12 multi-hit games during that stretch.

DETROIT TIGERS FOUNDATION 50/50 RAFFLE: The Detroit Tigers Foundation 50/50 Charity Raffle continues at Comerica Park this season. This weekend, the raffle will happen on Friday and Saturday. The partner charity for this weekend’s 50/50 raffle is the American Diabetes Association. The mission of the American Diabetes Association is to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes. Tickets will be sold on a digital platform and are three for $5, 10 for $10 and 40 for $20. The winner will be announced on the Comerica Park scoreboard before the end of the game. The 50/50 Charity Raffle program has raised more than $991,045.75 for charity with the single largest one-game prize of the program being $17,039.50.

COUNTRY NIGHT: Don’t forget to bring your cowboy boots and hat and saddle up for a country-filled night at the Tigers game. There will be live entertainment throughout the concourse feature national recording artist Jackie Lee in the Big Cat Court, Detroit native Paulina Jayne at Gate B, and Mount Pleasant’s Still Thinking Band will perform on the FOX Sports Detroit Stage outside the Brushfire Grill prior to the 7:08 p.m. start. Along with the performers, there will a mechanical bull in the Big Cat Court, a giant sized bull to greet fans outside of Gate A and country karaoke will be available at the New Amsterdam 416 Bar.

  • The national anthem will be performed by Country Artist, Jackie Lee.

  • Friday Night Fireworks: A special version of Independence Day fireworks will be presented by Pepsi (weather permitting).
