Think Pink for Breast Cancer

Hey Cougs! The women’s soccer team had a “Pink Out” for their first home game since the start school.

The game was against Indiana Wesleyan, the lady Cougars’ division rival. Unfortunately, the girls lost 2-1, but the game was exciting and there were lots of people there supporting the cause.

Wanna know how they raised their support? They sold t-shirts for $10 and there was an entrance fee. It was $4 for adults and $2 for students if they didn’t have their IDs with them.

The money that they raised went to the Vera Bradley Foundation for Cancer Research.

The girls even got to wear pink jerseys instead of the normal white ones for home games.

Most people know someone that has been touched by cancer, whether it be breast cancer or not, but the month of October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I suggest you go out and buy something pink, wear it and think of your mum. It might even show her just how thankful you are to have her in your life.

So, guys, rock a pink t-shirt and, gals, die a small section of your hair pink (not permanently of course) and show your support for the cause.

Catch ya later Cougs!
