Spring Training

Cougars, spring training is here!!! That means baseball season is beginning.

Baseball is one of my favorite sports. I’ve been watching baseball since I was little and so I can’t help but favor it over the other sports.

The Spring Arbor Baseball team has been practicing hard preparing for their season to begin.

There have been many times where I was heading to an intramural game and they were going to switch from Dunckel Gym to the main gym to practice more. I think one night they were even practicing until midnight. They are extremely dedicated to the sport they play.

Student athletes are really people that should be looked up to. They spend time in classes, working on homework, practicing, some even work part-time jobs and then they have games. They should be commended for their dedication.

The boys kicked off their season in Kentucky against Iowa Wesleyan and Union College. They played two games against both teams and ended the weekend with a 2-2 record. Go Cougars!

I can’t wait to see what the boys can do with the rest of their season. Stay tuned for more baseball updates, along with all the other sports that start in the spring (if they even play games at Spring Arbor anytime soon because it keeps snowing…).

Catch ya later, Cougs!
