Good morning Cougars! Have you ever been so excited about something that you can’t sleep? Well, that’s how I feel right now.

See, I love New Year’s. It’s an awesome time. Another year has passed and a new one is beginning. I think of each year as a chapter in my book of life. It’s so interesting that in one moment, I’m turning the page and starting a brand new chapter.

The other reason that I’m so excited is because a really close friend of mine (who wasn’t going to be able to spend New Year’s with me) is coming to spend the weekend with me and my family.

I love this time of year, the transition from one year to the next, but I also love being with the people that are super close to me. They are the people that I turn to when I don’t think I can make it through the day. They remind me of what’s important, and tell me when I’m being a crazy Cougar. They keep me accountable. It’s one of the reasons why having such close friends is awesome.

No matter what I know they’ll tell me what I’m doing right or what I’m doing wrong.

I hope that you all have a wonderful New Year. I challenge you to turn the page to the new chapter of your life and make it more memorable than the last chapter (be prepared though, there might be some challenges in there too!).
