After suffering their first loss of the season earlier this week, the men’s soccer team traveled to Albion College, where they defeated the Britons, 2-0.
The game was scoreless through the first half until Spring Arbor junior Joel Musambi scored three minutes into the second half, thanks to an assist from Marco Bernardini. The Cougars added an insurance goal, scored by junior Andrew Hill, with six minutes left in the game.
Albion had a total of three shots on goal over the course of the game, in comparison to Spring Arbor’s 19. Cougars’ goalkeeper, Billy Irvine, made zero saves and gave up zero goals.
The Cougars will travel to play Madonna University and Saint Xavier University, before returning home to begin conference play against Goshen College on Sept. 22 at 2 p.m.
