Indians win again, defeat Bulls 2-1 after short rain delay

It was another one-run difference for the Indianapolis Indians on Wednesday night when they defeated the Durham Bulls, 2-1, at Victory Field.

The start time had been delayed 29 minutes due to rain that was passing through Indianapolis, but that didn’t stop the Tribe’s win streak which is now at four games.

In three of the last four games, the Tribe has called on former starter Andy Oliver in save situations. He’s been successful each time and earned his sixth save of the season on Wednesday night.

Starter Tyler Waldron gave up only one run – in the second inning. He held the Bulls to only five hits, while walking two and striking out four. Wirfin Obispo and Josh Kinney both earned holds as they combined for two innings of work with one hit and one strikeout.

Brent Morel and Robert Andino had the Tribe’s two RBIs allowing teammates Matt Hague and Mel Rojas to score. The Indians posted their runs in the fifth and sixth innings.

Thursday’s game is set to start at 7:05 p.m. with A.J. Morris on the mound for the Tribe.
