Hanging of the Greens

Happy Holidays Cougars!! Christmas is getting closer and closer everyday. It is surprising how fast it’s arrival is coming this year. And the snow has finally hit us. What a beautiful thing that God created. I love snow and the snow covered trees.

Since Christmas is so close, Spring Arbor had their annual event, Hanging of the Greens. I was blessed enough to be able to go and find a seat. There are so many people that attend there were people standing behind my friends and me in the balcony.

There are so many awesome things that happen for Hanging of the Greens. There is a concert in the sanctuary at the Spring Arbor Free Methodist Church (it’s where we have chapel on Mondays and Wednesdays). The concert includes vocalists and instrumentalists from the Spring Arbor music program. In between “acts” there are some congregational songs (that mean everyone who’s there sings) and Bible readings. There is also the candle lighting ceremony in the plaza and fireworks. After those two things there are tons of activities to do in the Student Center (even hot chocolate and snacks and Santa is there too).

Check out this video about Hanging of the Greens. Maybe you’ll be there to see the real thing next year, I hope so!
