Three students studying at Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis (IUPUI) – Megan Filipowski, Autumn Grayson and Megan Grzegorek – are serving as NFHS interns for the fall semester.
Filipowski, who is expected to get her Master’s of Sports Journalism in summer 2014, is interning in the Publications/Communications Department. A 2013 graduate of Spring Arbor (Michigan) University (SAU), she worked as the student assistant sports information director for the school in 2012-13 and was the main sportswriter and Editor-in-Chief of The Pulse (SAU’s student publication).
Grayson, who is also in the Master’s of Sports Journalism program and will be graduating in May 2014, is interning in the Officials Education Department. She graduated from Western Michigan University where she ran track and cross country and is currently coaching track and cross country at Indianapolis (Indiana) Ben Davis High School. In the past, she has been an intern with WISH-TV and FOX 28 (Elkhart, IN).
Grzegorek, who is working toward her Bachelors in Tourism, Conventions and Event Management, is interning in the Events Department. She was a telefundraiser and the student supervisor for the Telefund Program of the Phi Kappa Psi Foundation in Indianapolis, Indiana. She also served as social director and a public relations assistant for the Phi Mu Fraternity.
