A Seas of New Faces

Hey Cougs, Flash here. Some of you may look back at Freshman Move-In Day and remember what it was like to be in their shoes, while some of you are looking forward to the day when you can actually call yourself a college freshman.

Spring Arbor’s campus is full of new faces. Long lines are formed at all of the tents to get all checked in and get your keys and carts of bins filled with everyone’s most prized possessions are being pushed to whatever floor all these new faces will be living on.

As a freshman, you’re probably overwhelmed by all the unfamiliar faces – your RA, your PA and all the upperclassmen that moved in early for their jobs. Don’t be afraid to talk to the people on your floor. That is one thing that makes Spring Arbor so unique, everyone is a community and more than willing to help you out.

Future and current freshmen, enjoy the freedom of being on your own and being able to make your own decisions, but call your mum every once in awhile because 1) you don’t want her to get worried and 2) she wants to know how exciting college is for you (she might even be living her college years again, vicariously through you of course).

The most important thing about being on campus is to remember that work comes first, but there is always time – that you should take advantage of – to have fun. Don’t be afraid to go crazy (within the limits of the SAU Student Handbook though) and laugh until you cry.

Catch ya later, Cougs!
