Jamie Madison and Tori Vidales play softball for their respective high schools, Groesbeck (Texas) and La Porte (Texas), 187 miles apart from one another. Both girls recently earned a place in the NFHS Record Book after hitting four home runs in a single game.
Vidales accomplished the feat first in a matchup against Port Arthur (Texas) Memorial High School on March 25. According to a MaxPreps article, her four home run performance gave her a total of 11 home runs so far this season, as well as an impressive .897 batting average (26 hits in 29 at-bats).
Madison followed with four home runs of her own March 28 against Fairfield (Texas) High School. MaxPreps reported that her fourth home run occurred while Fairfield attempted to intentionally walk her.
The two seniors would join the other 15 girls in the NFHS Record Book with four home runs in a single game. The record is held by Janet Weisenforth, who hit five home runs in a game in 1977.
