Hola Cougs! We have some exciting news around campus, a new soccer stadium is coming our way.
The stadium will be located next to the baseball diamond, behind the Ogle Villages. That is the location of the field at the moment, but that spot is about to get renovated, big time.
The field to going to be made of artifical Polytan field turf (it’s the stuff the pros have). The new stadium will also include new seating, a new scoreboard and something never seen at the SAU soccer field, lights. These lights mean that for the first time ever there will be night games on the campus of Spring Arbor. That’s exciting. Plus it makes my job a little easier. With night games I don’t have to worry about finding a way around my schedule to get to a game.
The students who participate in intramural sports on campus will also be able to use the new field/stadium when soccer isn’t using it. That’s just super cool. Does that mean that intramural flag football will be a little bit more exciting because we won’t have to rush to get done before the sun goes down? I think so.
I can’t wait to see the new stadium and I hope that I’ll see you there, next year of course.
Catch ya later, Cougs!
