Dear Tigers Fan,

Thank you for your recent letter to the Detroit Tigers. We appreciate you taking the time to write us and appreciate your support all season long. We are lucky to have some of the best fans in baseball!

Tigers outfielder J.D. Martinez had a spectacular month of June. Martinez hit 11 home runs and tabbed 26 RBI last month, while he scored 16 runs. His 11 home runs in June are tied for third-most in franchise history and are the most since Mickey Tettleton also hit 11 homers in June 1993. He ended the month with being named American League Player of the Week.

In addition, Martinez was named to the 2015 All-Star team for the first time in his career, along with three other teammates. 10-time All-Star Miguel Cabrera was voted by fans as the American League starter at first base for the third consecutive year, while David Price was selected to the team for the sixth time in his career and Jose Iglesias was named to the team for the first time and will represent the Detroit Tigers at the 86th All-Star Game in Cincinnati on July 14.

The club opens the month of July in the middle of a homestand, hosting the Pittsburgh Pirates and Toronto Blue Jays. The Tigers then take a trip to the west coast for a three-game series against Seattle before closing out the first half of the season with a four-game series against the Minnesota Twins on the road. Following the All-Star break, the Tigers host the Baltimore Orioles and Seattle Mariners. The team concludes the month on the road traveling to Boston, Tampa Bay and Baltimore.
