Dear Tigers Fan,

Thank you for your recent letter to the Detroit Tigers. We appreciate you taking the time to write us and appreciate your support all season long. We have some of the best fans in baseball!

The Detroit Tigers recently acquired lefthanded pitchers Daniel Norris, Matt Boyd and Jairo Labourt from the Toronto Blue Jays and added infielder JaCoby Jones from the Pittsburgh Pirates. Additionally, the Tigers acquired righthanded pitchers Michael Fulmer and Luis Cessa from the New York Mets at the trade deadline to close out July.

Norris and Boyd both joined the Tigers major league club and each earned a win in their Tigers debut, while Cessa reported to Triple-A Toledo, Jones and Fulmer are thriving in Double-A Erie and Labourt was added to Single-A Lakeland in the Tigers minor league system.

The Tigers ended a four-game series in Baltimore before returning back to Comerica Park to face off against the Kansas City Royals and Boston Red Sox to kick off August. The club hits the road for an eight-game stretch against the Royals, Houston Astros and Chicago Cubs. When they return on August 20, the Tigers host the Texas Rangers for four games and the Los Angeles Angels for three games. The team closes out the month with a three-game weekend series on the road against the Toronto Blue Jays.
